6. Do not miss your exit

You have spent days, weeks, or maybe even months saying grace before, after and during PMO sessions.  You have been meditating daily, cultivating your mindfulness, exercising, eating better, sleeping better, and journaling.  You are building serious momentum towards quitting PMO for good and you need to be ready to act quickly when your window to quit arrives.

One morning you will find that there is an opening for you to say no and to finally quit.  You will feel it in your being.  You need to be aware of this opening and take advantage of it when it appears.  This is where you exit and begin the process of seriously doing the internal work required to leave PMO behind for good begins.

Do not squander this opportunity, it may be a long time before you have another one and who knows what the bottom will be at the end of that next  PMO run? I was very aware with my own PMO career that I was constantly in a race, what was going to happen first, was I going to quit PMO and change my life or was the hammer going to be brought down on me, ensuring I face a very serious life altering consequences of my use?  I would always tell myself that I would quit before anything bad happens, but let’s be honest, when I am neck deep in active PMO addiction, it could be weeks , months, or years before I feel willing to quit again, it has never been something I can just hop in and out of. 

Once this opening occurs and you make the decision to quit PMO, then you are ready to start into the next phase immediately.  It is going to require your full attention and effort, and your being willing to face your demons and fears head on, and change habits you currently have that will be difficult and unpopular.  The phase you are about to embark on will be the adventure and the fight of your life.  

In this fight you will rediscover who you truly are, restore the light in your eyes, the passion in your voice, the strength in your body and find the purpose in your life that will drive you forward. You will regain your confidence, your ability to look men and women right in the eye, your anxiety and fear levels will plummet, your mind will become sharp and focused, your creativity will skyrocket, and you will find yourself again by reconnecting with your true essence. In order to achieve these results you have to be all in on building a new life for yourself that is more compelling than your PMO addiction.

This last time I quit PMO I finally decided I was all in, no bull shit, no excuses, no minimizing how bad and out of control my PMO addiction was, no half measures. I was and am still, all in. I was and am still willing to fully change the man I was to become the man I am meant to be. I know in my bones that if I do not conquer my PMO addiction and see what is on the other side of it, what my life is without it, that I will die in regret.  I know PMO is not the best life has to offer me, and I know I deserve better.  PMO will take everything from you, it will rob you of your potential, your self respect, your loved ones, and your freedom. It is time to take a stand, it’s time to fight back.

I started this blog so I could teach men just like myself, a very practical but also hardcore disciplined way of quitting PMO for good and becoming the man they want to be.  This is part of my building a life that is more compelling than PMO, one where I give back and use my talent of writing to help others, as opposed to constantly chasing the next PMO high and focusing only on myself.

If you have made it this far, you are ready for the next phase.  Decide with every fiber of your being that you are all in (it's ok to have doubt and fear, just commit to facing it as you walk this new path).  PMO will take everything from you, it will rob you of your potential, your self respect, your loved ones, and your freedom. It is time to take a stand, it’s time to fight back.


Immediate action steps

  1. Make a decision to be 100% all in on quitting PMO and being willing to do anything to face your fears, your addiction, your health, etc… 

  2. Read and implement the monk mode protocol immediately.  Things are going to shift and change for the better rapidly, but it requires immense commitment and effort.

  3. Go read it now and start executing!
